What We Collect
Account information: When you sign up for PestSynch, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and billing information needed to provide the service.
Business data you enter: Customer records, service history, invoices, payment records, chemical usage logs, and other operational data you input into PestSynch. This data belongs to you.
QuickBooks data: If you connect QuickBooks, we access the accounting data you authorize (invoices, customers, payments) solely to sync it with PestSynch as you direct. We use Intuit's official OAuth flow — we never see or store your QuickBooks password.
Usage data: We collect basic technical information (device type, browser, pages visited) to operate and improve the service.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve PestSynch
- To sync data between PestSynch and services you connect (e.g., QuickBooks, Stripe)
- To process payments for your subscription
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information or your business data to third parties.
Data Sharing
We share data only as needed to operate the service:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Intuit/QuickBooks — accounting sync you authorize
- Supabase — database hosting (data encrypted at rest and in transit)
- Legal compliance — if required by law, subpoena, or court order
Data Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
- Access is restricted by role-based permissions
- QuickBooks and payment credentials are stored as encrypted OAuth tokens, never as passwords
- We conduct periodic independent security reviews
Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Access, correct, or export your data
- Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Disconnect third-party integrations (QuickBooks, Stripe), which stops future syncing
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you

Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account closure, we delete operational data within 90 days unless retention is required by law (e.g., tax records).
Children's Privacy
PestSynch is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
